Ashiq is a Tax Manager with WTS. He holds a BA (Hons) Law and Management and is a member of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants (MIPA).  Ashiq has also successfully completed papers of the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT) on subject matters related to Principles of International Taxation and Transfer Pricing.

Prior to joining WTS, Ashiq worked for one of the Big 4 accounting firms and eventually moved to a Big 6 firm. Ashiq has vast experience in taxation covering, among others, tax compliance, tax advisory, tax due diligence, handling tax assessments and negotiating with tax authorities in tax litigation cases.

At WTS, Ashiq delivers a full range of tax services to multinationals, corporate and private clients. As part of his duties, he handles tax advisory projects encompassing several service lines. He also manages a sizeable portfolio of tax compliance assignments. In addition, he is actively involved in coaching and mentoring tax consultants within the firm.
