The Export Control Law of the People’s Republic of China (“ECL”) was finally passed on 17 October 2020 after three rounds of review by the National People’s Congress. The ECL will take effect from 1 December 2020. In this issue, we have highlighted the key differences between the ECL and the 2020 Draft ECL.
